Our Beginning: A Dog Like No Other
BIKE AND DOG was born from the incredible life of Raúl—a dog raised alongside two lion cubs. When a lioness at the zoo rejected her newborns, they were introduced to Raúl’s mother, who had just given birth to a litter of puppies. By covering the cubs in her scent, she accepted them as her own. Raúl grew up wrestling, playing, and running with lions. Needless to say, a regular walk just wasn’t enough for him.
The Problem: Too Much Energy, Too Little Control
Even walking Raúl four times a day didn’t satisfy his energy. We tried taking him along on bike rides, but traditional leashing methods were unsafe. Whether we attached the leash to the handlebar or the seat post, Raúl’s strength would unbalance the bike. We knew there had to be a safer, smarter way to ride with dogs.
The Solution: Safe, Smart, and Strong
After countless trials, we developed a simple yet powerful system: a low-mounted, recoil-style leash that keeps the dog safely beside the bike. No rigid parts. No jerks.
